Field Technician Supervisor
North Vending, LLC is the Lead supplier for B2B vending, POS and coin operated machines in IL area, and we are expanding! We are searching for a talented Field Technician Supervisor to join our excellent team. The Technician Supervisor's responsibilities include understanding project goals and developing plans and work schedules that will achieve them. His/her responsibilities include supervising stuff while they complete repairs and installations, providing training to new recruits, scrutinizing existing processes, wring reports, developing work schedules for field technicians, and delegating tasks.
To be successful as Field Technician Supervisor, you should keep abreast of developments in your field and have ability to quickly diagnose tech-related problems. Outstanding candidates are able to meet deadlines and keep their team focused in stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
Providing hands-on and field-based work with at least 95% of time spent on route, as well as provision of remote technical guidance and assistance via phone, chat or other support channels, enquiries coming in via toll free numbers.
Training new technicians and providing ongoing training for experienced technicians.
Monitoring installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair work conducted by technicians. You are expected to manage team of junior technicians in a supervisory capacity and travel to the field to oversee workers and conduct inspections on completed work orders.
Designing and implementing training programs and protocols for technicians to follow.
Supervising and developing of adequate technical support lines and procedures, ensuring correct use of communication means and channels, and covering ad-hoc emergencies.
Scheduling b2b appointments for software or hardware placement or updates, meeting existing customers and partners at their or potential locations, keeping appropriate meeting and appointment notes in CRM.
Delivering devices, instructing, and visiting clients, organizing, and performing routine regular location audit checks and repairs. – BE ON CALL
Evaluating completed work orders to ensure that all policies and standards have been followed and that the customer’s needs are met.
Educating and training clients and customers, remotely, as well as in client locations on the technical characteristics and functions of the company products, services provided, including support on the best use of promotional materials.
Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolution of Microsoft Windows / UNIX hardware and software problems.
Installing and configuring of new PC hardware and software on desktops, POS, ATM, amusements devices, laptops, and peripherals such as phones, printers, external drives, and other related hardware.
Developing, preparing, testing, and deploying hard drive images and be capable of supporting users in a virtual desktop environment.
Performing basic computer wired and wireless network troubleshooting.
Maintaining a high level of proficiency in using help-desk systems and tools.
Researching and testing new hardware and software.
Conducting inventory checks and placing applicable stock orders, tracking, and maintaining equipment inventories, coding and recording new and existing stock items and their status as well as locations, keeping appropriate record notes in the CRM.
Performing regular inspections of tools, vehicles, and equipment used by the company. Items that do not meet quality standards are replaced or/and repaired as needed.
Responsibly and cost effectively using company’s funds for reimbursement business expenses according to current version of company’s business reimbursement policy.
Assisting with sourcing parts and services suppliers.
Doing management reports daily/weekly/monthly.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in managing team of field technicians
3+ years of experience with computer repairs and hardware installations
3+ years of experience in computer software
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Valid Driver's License
